To celebrate St Cecilia's Day (Nov 22nd) we will be presenting a programme of music written in her honour. This will include selections from Handel's "Alexander's Feast" and also his "Ode to St Cecilia."

We shall also be singing Parry's anthem "Blest Pair of Sirens"; Schubert's "An Die Musik", and Finzi's "Ode for St Cecilia".

Gavin Stevens will provide the accompaniment, and the tenor soloist will be Greg Tassell.

Mendelssohn's oratorio "Elijah" was first performed in 1846, won immediate popularity, and has been a firm favourite of choral societies, especially in English speaking countries, ever since.

We will be singing the Vaughan Williams cantata "Hodie".
